Frequently asked questions
Answers to common questions about solar systems, installation and maintenance.
General
An on-grid system is connected to the utility grid and exports surplus power through net metering. An off-grid system runs independently with batteries. A hybrid system uses both the grid and batteries, so you also get backup during power cuts.
Typically around 80-100 sq ft of shade-free area per kilowatt. The exact need depends on the panel type and roof layout and is confirmed during the site survey.
Yes, but at a reduced level. Output depends on sunlight intensity, so generation drops on cloudy or rainy days.
Installation
Net metering uses a bi-directional meter that records both the power you draw from and export to the grid. You are billed on the difference. It requires approval from your DISCOM.
Our engineer checks roof size and strength, shading, orientation, meter and load, and records photos and GPS location. The right system size and quotation are prepared from this.
Maintenance
Regular cleaning of the panels (depending on dust) and periodic checks of wiring, inverter and earthing are usually enough. We offer service visits and annual maintenance contracts (AMC).
